Eastern Traditions Tour 

Almaty

Firstly, the tour starts with sightseeing in the central part of Almaty. You will know more about history and development of the southern capital of Kazakhstan and see its major attractions. Namely, they are the Central State National Museum, Opera & Ballet Theatre. Also, you will visit one of the oldest Almaty parks — Panfilov Park. Therefore there you will know more about the history of the city and see one of the highest wooden buildings in the world — Zenkov Cathedral.

Tamgaly

Tamgaly is not only the biggest but also the most known collection of petroglyphs of Kazakhstan. It is located in the tract Tamgaly, which is 170 km north-west of the city of Almaty. The south-eastern part of the low Chu-Ili mountains stretches from south to north from the mountains of Trans-Ili Alatau. Hence Tamgaly — is the most famous center of the 50 centers of petroglyphs of Semirechye, the basin of Lake Balkhash.

Issyk – Turgen

Issyk Lake is one of the most beautiful lakes. Most noteworthy – it is created by nature.
Issyk museum — many archaeological monuments, barrows, burial grounds. There was the Golden Man was found. Excursion on Issyk Lake. Drive to Turgen River Gorge. See the Zailisky Alatau Mountains. Drive up to the middle part of the Gorge. Hike to the first Turgen waterfall (40-m high), also called Medvezhiy.

Pavlodar

Pavlodar is a city on the Irtysh River. The city has a rich history and long-standing cultural tradition. This is one of the most beautiful and oldest cities in Kazakhstan, located on the banks of Irtysh River, the largest river in the country. City delights its guests with seeveral activities. For example there are flowers and fountains, wide avenues and streets, shady parks and alleys. Pavlodar is a recognized center of art and culture in northern Kazakhstan. And finally, there will be a boat tour in the Irtysh river.

Astana

This tour ends in Astana, a capital of Kazakhstan. There will be city sightseeing tour starting from the symbol of Astana – Baiterek.

Day 1

Almaty

Arrive in Almaty. Transfer to hotel.

Day 2

Almaty

After breakfast departure to Almaty city excursion. The tour starts with sightseeing in the central part of Almaty. You will know more about history and development of the southern capital of Kazakhstan and see its major attractions: Central State National Museum. Visit Opera & Ballet theatre. You will visit one of the oldest Almaty parks — Panfilov Park, where you will know more about the history of the city and see one of the highest wooden buildings in the world — Zenkov Cathedral. Visit museum of Musical Instruments. In the noon visit Museum Fine Art Kasteev- one of the most interesting museums in Almaty with various exhibits. The collections in the museum depositories are divided according to storage: paintings by old masters, paintings of Kazakhstan. Drive to Medeo. Excursion to Medeo. Transfer to hotel.

Day 3

Tamgaly

Excurison in Tamgaly — The biggest and known collection of petroglyphs of Kazakhstan, UNESCO World Heritage Site, is located in the tract Tamgaly, 170 km north-west of the city of Almaty in the south-eastern part of the low Chu-Ili mountains, stretching from south to north from the mountains of Trans-Ili Alatau Lake Balkhash, in the mountain range Arnahay. Day 4

Issyk – Turgen

Transfer to Issyk Lake. This is one of the most beautiful lakes, created by nature.

Day 5

Pavlodar

Transfer to airport, flight to Pavlodar. Arrival Pavlodar at 11.15. Meeting with the guide. Transfer to hotel. Pavlodar — a city on the Irtysh River. The city has a rich history and long-standing cultural tradition. This is one of the most beautiful and oldest cities in Kazakhstan, located on the banks of Irtysh River, the largest river in the country. City delights its guests with flowers and fountains, wide avenues and streets, shady parks and alleys. Pavlodar is a recognized center of art and culture in northern Kazakhstan. Drive to Irtysh. Boat trip on Irtysh. Overnight.

Day 6

Pavlodar

Drive to the city tour. Visit Mosque by M. Z. Kopeev- this religious architectural structure capable of hitting all of its beauty and grandeur. Pavlodar main mosque can be seen from different parts of the city. Heavenly colored dome crowned with a golden crescent shanyrak and soaring minarets and blue majestic staircase may cause the respect and admiration of all, even the most ignorant person. One of the main decorations of the mosque — crystal chandelier «Zumrad» with 434 light bulbs, made in Tashkent. Next visit Annunciation Cathedral, Embankment, museum named Potanina, museum fine art. Visit the house Shafer – museum of military glory.

Day 7

Astana

Transfer to train station, train to Astana at 09.25, arrival in Astana at 15.32. Visit “Astana-Baiterek” monument of the young capital truly has become an architectural symbol of renewal, a symbol of Astana, a symbol of Kazakhstan. Transfer to hotel.

Day 8

Astana

Drive to city tour. City tour starts from old part of the city on the right side of Ishim River. Constitution Square, Museum of the First President, Congress Hall will be starting points of excursion. You will walk along the riverside of Ishim and see the city in dynamics, and how it is developing. Continue tour with the most important architectural buildings and monuments of the modern capital (Independence Square, Water-Green Boulevard, Round Square), as well as its history and development plans. Visit Presidential Centre of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan. At the museum you will see the Golden man, well known not only in the Kazakh steppe but also in all Central Asia. Visit Temple of Peace and Accord – pyramidal building of the Palace of peace and Accord built by the project of a prominent British architect, Norman Foster, became the genuine decoration of the new capital of Kazakhstan. Excursions to Atameken (miniature map of Kazakhstan). Transfer to hotel.
